Living on the easternmost edge of North America (although somehow closer to Rio de Janeiro than N.Y.C., go figure) gives one the opportunity to have a lot of perspective. Maybe too much. It's a bit removed, but so am I, so it all works out in the end. Here I am, like a pop cultural Amelia Earhart, wondering when the food will run out.
